With college, you only need the following five

Correspondence, and Online, Home Study delivery methods and discounted
package pricing is available as well as Financing and Job Placement
programs.

Submit the Evaluation of Education Documents
form to the Texas Real Estate Commission
Once you have completed your courses at Spencer,
submit a copy of your certificates of completion for each course, a copy
of your college transcript, and the Evaluation of Education Documents
form to the Texas real-estate Commission. Please include a $30 check or
money order payable to TREC.
NOTE:
The copy of your college transcript must be a photocopy of an official
transcript. Web or Online printouts of completed college courses will
not be accepted.

Submit your Application for a Sponsoring
Broker
After your education has been evaluated and
approved, you can submit the Application for an Inactive Salesperson's
License online at (www.trec.state.tx.us) or by mail along with $107.00
payable to TREC. If mailing, you may also submit your Sponsoring Broker
form; otherwise, you may submit this form at a later date. After
submission of your application by mail, TREC will take about 7-10 days
to approve. If applying online, approval is typically granted in 2 days.
Also, do not forget to download your
FAST Print Pass using the
nine digit ID number from TREC found on your Education award letter.
NOTE:
You can not be Fingerprinted Anywhere Else Othere than L-1 Identiy
Apporved sites, Must Bring your Fast Pass Completed. Walk-ins are not
accepted anywhere in Texas under FBI regulations everyone must have an
appointment for fingerprinting.

Take the Real Estate Exam Prep Class at
Spencer Training & Testing Development®
While your application is being evaluated, we
strongly recommend that you complete the state Prep course to ensure you
are ready for the State Exam. This class takes the stress out of testing
and you may repeat the course as many times as you want. It also
includes a Test Simulator provided by Our Partners at Pearson Vue and
PSI Exams to help you better pass the state exam.

Receive Your Letter from the State & Take the
State Exam at PSI:
Once you receive your approval letter from TREC,
you need to schedule to take your exam with PSI Examination Services.
Appointments can be made by calling (800) 733-9267 or visiting
www.psiexams.com. The cost is $61 payable to PSI. You must pass the exam
with a 70% or higher and you will know if you have passed the exam
before you leave the testing center. You will need to bring to Fedral Id
Forms to your Exam Such as: Drivers License, Birth Cert, Social Security
Card, Passport
NOTE:
You must pass the state exam within 6 months of the application
approval.
About the State Exam
Your state exam is divided into two sections,
National and State, and will consist of 110 questions with a total of
2.5 hours to complete the exam. 80 Questions will be National with 1.45
hours to complete, while 30 questions will be State with 45 minutes to
complete. You will know if you have passed the exam before you leave the
testing center. If you have submitted your sponsorship form already,
your license will be mailed to your sponsoring broker within 7-10 days
of passing the exam. Otherwise, you will be considered "inactive" until
you choose a broker and submit the Request to Sponsor Salesperson
Applicant form.
